Aiming For Jesus

If Jesus isn’t interested in HOW we make disciples, half of the Gospel narrative wouldn’t be necessary. We would only need a record of his teachings and nothing more. But Jesus is deeply interested in “how” we do it because he gave us so much more than information.

He gave us a living example to follow.

If we want to know HOW to love, we aim for how Jesus loved. If we want to know HOW to forgive, we aim for how Jesus forgave. If we want to know HOW to pray, we aim for how Jesus prayed.

If we want to know HOW to make disciples, we aim for how Jesus made disciples.

We should always be looking at Jesus for the “how.” Even if it is messy, inconvenient, and uncomfortable. He is where we focus, because He is the bullseye of the target.

Jesus should always be our aim.
