How Do You Measure?

Jesus didn’t see BUILDINGS as a measure of success; He never owned one. Jesus didn’t see BUDGETS as a measure of success; He let an embezzler and a betrayer handle the funds. Jesus didn’t see BUTTS in seats as a measure of success; He never trusted himself to the crowds. Jesus never focused on what the world today considers to be “successful” measures. Instead, Jesus spoke of FRUITFULNESS produced through belief and obedience. Whether it’s one person or one billion people, Jesus delights in and celebrates anyone who simply embraces who He is and serves as model/mentor for others to do the same. This was His plan for the Church from the beginning and it remains the most effective strategy for Kingdom influence and expansion. Jesus is giving you everything you need to reveal Him to those around you. Be faithful in all you think, say, and do. Stay aware of what He is doing around you. Be ready to take a step of faith. If every one of us embraced this adventure, imagine what the Church would be like! “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33
